AMAF SCHOOL OF NAIROBI

AMAF School (Atieno Monica And Family - named after the founder's mother).
The director of the school is Mr. Peter Lalo Outa

He works very hard in order  to provide a sense of family to orphaned children who attend the school.
Amaf  school  is located in Riruta, in the Western part of Nairobi, in the Dagoretti Division.

Most of the pupils live in Riruta,a settlement made of people from different parts of Kenya.  The area is highly affected by HIV/AIDs that is the main reason  most of the children are  left without parents.
Many of these children come from difficult home environments due to extreme poverty. For many families education is not an option for their children!

AMAF School was founded in 2004 by  Peter Lalo Outa and his wife Gaudencia.
They have got three daughters,Monica,Sheila and Anastasia.
Peter and Gaudencia founded the school  after seeing the need of the children in their  community.
Under Mr. Outa's direction the school currently supports 520 children grades Pre-K through 12.
It provides the children with food and  education.
Since 2010, Joseph  lives at the Amaf  school. There are many  in need of a safe and healthy place to rest their heads at night like Joseph.  Twenty teachers are currently employed by AMAF, all of them Kenyan.
